It’s #TechTipTuesday! The complaint of the screen sharing bar has been around probably as long as screen sharing has been around. With New Teams, you can move the bar! Here are my top two tips for alleviating this thorn in your side (or presentations rather).
- Moving the bar:
To move the screen sharing bar in Microsoft Teams, follow these steps:
- Start Sharing Your Screen: Begin by sharing your screen during a Teams meeting.
- Locate the Toolbar: Find the screen sharing toolbar, which usually appears at the top of your screen.
- Drag the Toolbar: Click and hold the toolbar drag handle (usually a small area on the toolbar). Drag it to your desired location on the screen. Side tip: you can also pin the toolbar!
- Release the Toolbar: Once you’ve positioned it where you want, release the drag handle.
2. Hide the bar! Pressing CTRL + W will make the bar disappear when presenting. Note: Though this is super helpful when I don’t need it when sharing, there isn’t a command to make this bar reappear without resharing your screen.
