⚠️ Attention Microsoft 365 Admins: Self-Service Trials and Purchases ⚠️

Do you know about the self-service trials and purchases setting in the Microsoft 365 admin center? Let’s talk about it for today’s #TechTipTuesday

This allows users in your organization to sign up for trials and make purchases independently – including Copilot! As an admin, you can manage these settings to control whether users can make self-service purchases or sign up for trials. By default, did you know these are all set to ON? This could be a huge risk to your organization’s compliance! How do we manage this?

👏 Managing Settings: To manage these settings, go to the Microsoft 365 admin center, navigate to Settings > Org settings, and then select the Services tab. From there, you can control self-service trials and purchases. You can see details like product name, purchaser name, subscriptions purchased, expiration date, purchase price, and assigned users for each self-service purchase or trial.

🔒 Blocking Self-Service Purchases: If you want to block self-service purchases and trials, you need to turn off each product individually. This is done using the AllowSelfServicePurchase policy in the MSCommerce PowerShell module.
